About Plusnet Broadband
Plusnet is a brand known for its great value and excellent customer service. Plusnet was founded in 1997 and started by offering dial-up broadband services across the UK.
In 2007, BT Group acquired Plusnet. However, it continues to operate under the Plusnet Brand, offering the same excellent service.
Plusnet Broadband Packages
Regardless of which package you choose from Plusnet, you can expect these benefits.
Unlimited Broadband Usage - All of Plusnet's broadband deals come with unlimited broadband usage as standard.
Plusnet Protect - For most broadband packages, Plusnet Protect comes as standard. Plusnet Protect is a comprehensive security package that keeps your household safe online.
Plusnet SafeGuard - Plusnet SafeGuard comes as standard with all Plusnet packages. SafeGuard keeps your family safe online by allowing you to block unwanted content such as gambling or social media and enables you to set browsing time limits.
Plusnet Unlimited Broadband - This is Plusnet's ADSL offering. It's the slowest of all the Plusnet broadband deals as it only offers average download speeds of 10Mbps. We only recommend this deal for users with very light internet usage or those who don't have a better option.
Plusnet Unlimited Fibre - Unlimited Fibre offers download speeds of up to 36Mbps. It's a fibre broadband service, so that you can expect faster speeds and a more reliable connection.
Plusnet Unlimited Fibre Extra - Unlimited Fibre Extra is an excellent choice for busy households. You can expect download speeds up to 66Mbps, which gives you plenty of capacity to stream your favourite movies, browse online, gaming and much more.
Plusnet Full Fibre - Full Fibre is Plusnet's latest broadband. It offers speeds of up to 500Mbps and will meet the demands of almost any household. Unfortunately, it's not widely available, so it's worth checking broadband availability in your area.
Plusnet Call Plans and Call Features
Plusnet has some great call plans available for its landline users.
Evening and Weekend UK and Mobile Calls - For £5.71, get any time calling on a weekend and free calls between 7pm and 7am on weekdays.
Unlimited UK and Mobile Calls - Access unlimited calls to UK landlines and 2,000 minutes of calls to UK mobiles for £10.28 per month.
Anytime International Calls - Get 300 minutes to top international destinations and unlimited calls to UK landlines for £10.28 per month. For an extra £3 a month, add mobile minutes.
By default, Plusnet's landline users will receive various call features for free. These include Voicemail, Caller Display, 1471, Withheld Number, Call Protect and Call Barring. Customers can also access additional features for an extra monthly fee. These include Calls to Mobiles, Voicemail Extras, Anonymous Call Rejects, Call Waiting, Call Divert, Ring Back, and Reminder Calls.
Plusnet and BT Sport
BT Sport is available from £10 per month when you're a Plusnet broadband customer. You can watch through the BT sport app on your Mobile, Desktop and Games Console. You can also watch it through Sky, although if you choose this option, it will cost more per month.
Plusnet Mobile
You will find a variety of SIM-only deals from Plusnet. Each deal is a 30-day rolling contract and is powered by the award-winning EE mobile network. You'll get an extra 2GB on each deal for free if you're an existing Plusnet broadband customer.
